Privacy Policy
Effective September 11, 2026
This policy explains what information N1 Yoga (“N1 Yoga”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It applies to n1yoga.com, hashhouseyoga.com, and the N1 Yoga apps served from them — including the journal, the desktop planner, and our courses (together, the “Service”).
Questions or requests: support@n1yoga.com.
1. Information we collect
Account information from Google Sign-In
You sign in with your Google account. We receive your name, email address, profile photo URL and Google account ID, and we create an N1 Yoga account from them.
Google Calendar and Google Tasks
If you use the planner or journal features that work with your calendar and task list, we access your Google Calendar and Google Tasks on your behalf. Section 4 describes exactly how.
Content you create
- Written and audio journal entries, and their transcriptions.
- Course journals and course notes.
- Summaries and syntheses generated from your entries, the prompts you save for them, and the roles and role descriptions you write.
- Daily check-ins, tasks and habits you record.
Health and wellness information you choose to record
Depending on the features you use, this can include self-ratings (for example physical, mental and emotional scales), sleep, weight, workouts, emotions, meals and meal photos, and other personal measures and notes. You decide what to record; none of it is required to use the Service.
Contact details you submit
If you fill in a sign-up or contact form, we receive the email address and/or phone number you provide.
Usage and technical information
We record basic usage events (for example, which part of the Service was used) to operate and improve it. Like most websites, our servers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the time of requests for security and troubleshooting.
Information stored in your browser
We store your sign-in session and your light/dark display preference in your browser’s local storage. While you record audio, the recording is saved in your browser until it has been uploaded, so an interrupted recording is not lost. We do not use advertising cookies, analytics trackers or third-party tracking scripts.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service: store and display your journal, planner, courses and records.
- To perform the AI features you choose to use — transcribing audio, summarising and synthesising your entries, and analysing meals and course journals (see section 3).
- To read and update your Google Calendar and Tasks when you use those features (see section 4).
- To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
- To respond to your messages and requests.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your content to train AI models.
3. AI processing and service providers
Some features send your content to an AI service provider to be processed. This happens only when you use that feature, and only the content that feature needs is sent:
- Google Gemini API — transcription of audio journal entries; journal summaries and syntheses (including any role description you choose to apply); analysis of course journals.
- OpenAI API — analysis of meal photos and the notes you add to them; course summaries generated from your course journal.
These providers process the content to return a result to us, under their API terms. AI-generated results can be inaccurate; see our Terms of Service.
We also rely on providers to run the Service: Google (sign-in, Calendar API, Tasks API) and the cloud provider that hosts our servers, database, file storage and backups.
4. Google user data
When you sign in with Google and use features connected to your Google account, we request these permissions:
- Basic profile and email (
openid, email, profile) — to create your account and sign you in. - Google Calendar (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar) — to show your events in the planner, and to create, edit and delete events when you ask the Service to, including events you confirm from a journal entry. - Google Tasks (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks) — to show your task list in the planner and journal, and to create, update and complete tasks when you ask the Service to.
How it is handled. Your Google access and refresh tokens are stored on our servers so the Service can reach Calendar and Tasks for you. Event and task details are fetched to display them and sent back to Google when you change them; we keep a record of the events and tasks created through the Service. Planner details you add to a task, such as its role and priority, are saved in that task’s notes in your Google Tasks. Google Calendar and Google Tasks data is not sent to AI providers.
N1 Yoga’s use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
In particular, we use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing features described above; we do not transfer it to others except as needed to provide those features, to comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with your data protected; we do not use or transfer it for advertising, and we do not sell it; we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised AI or machine-learning models; and no person reads it unless you have given permission, it is needed for security purposes or to comply with law, or it has been aggregated and anonymised for internal operations.
You can revoke N1 Yoga’s access at any time from your Google Account at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Features that depend on Calendar or Tasks will then stop working.
5. How we share information
We share information only:
- with the service providers in sections 3 and 4, to provide the Service;
- when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users, the public or N1 Yoga;
- as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy continues to protect your information.
Your journal, records and roles are private to your account; other users cannot see them.
6. Retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual journal entries, prompts and roles in the Service.
To delete your account, email support@n1yoga.com from the address you sign in with. We will delete your account and the information associated with it, including uploaded audio, within 30 days. Database backups are kept for up to 30 days and then permanently removed, so deleted information may remain in a backup for up to that long.
7. Security
The Service is served over HTTPS. Access to your data is limited to your own signed-in account, Google tokens are kept on our servers rather than in your browser, and administrative access to our systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.
8. Your choices and rights
- Access, correction, export and deletion — email us and we will help. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, and you may complain to your data protection authority.
- Google access — revoke it from your Google Account at any time.
- AI features — content is sent to an AI provider only when you use a feature that needs it.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above, and if the changes are significant we will let you know through the Service or by email before they take effect.
